William Wordsworth was born in 1770 in the Northern Lake District of England. He spent almost all his life in the countryside. He studied at Cambridge University. During his journey through France he met Annette Vallon, his first love, with whom he had a daughter; He'd never married to Anette. But some tragedies happened in his life.
Wordsworth lived some years wih his sister before marrying Mary Hutchinson. He lost two of his five children and Dorothy, his sister, got mentally and physically ill.
After some time, Wordsworth worked with Samuel Coleridge, a poet. They published one of the most important books of that times, the Lyrical Ballads, with a Few Other Poems (anonymous, 1789).

The very pulse of the machine;
A Being breathing thoughtful breath,
A Traveler between life and death;
The reason firm, the temperate will,
Endurance, foresight, strength, and skill;
A perfect Woman, nobly planned,
To warm, to comfort, and command;
And yet a Spirit still, and bright,
With something of angelic light.

Daffodils

And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line

In such a jocund company:
I gazed - and gazed - but little thought
